Authorship and Contributorship

  • Authorship Criteria
Authors must have made significant contributions to the conception, design, execution, or interpretation of the research study. Each author should take responsibility for at least one component of the work and be able to identify which co-authors are responsible for specific parts of the research.
  • Contributorship Statement CREDIT
QJS follows the CRediT (Contributor Roles Taxonomy) guidelines. Authors are expected to state their contribution statement and specify the role of each author in the research accordingly.
  • Acknowledgments
Individuals who contributed to the work but do not meet authorship criteria should be acknowledged in the acknowledgments section.
  • Changes to Authorship
Authors are encouraged to thoughtfully determine the authorship list before submitting their manuscript to avoid unnecessary alterations. To preserve the accuracy and integrity of the academic record, any adjustments to the authorship list—such as adding, removing, or rearranging names—must be completed during the editorial process and prior to the manuscript’s acceptance.
  • To request a change in authorship, authors must submit a completed Authorship Change Form, which must be signed by all original authors as well as any new authors being added or removed. The form should clearly explain the reason for the proposed change, and unanimous consent from all original and prospective authors is required for the request to be processed.
  • If changes are requested after the manuscript has been accepted, it may result in delays in the publication process. Once a manuscript has been published, requests for changes to authorship will not be accommodated.
  • The journal retains the right to request evidence supporting any claims of authorship at any stage of the process. Any changes to authorship after acceptance will be made solely at the discretion of the editorial board.
