The Qaiwan Journal of Science (QJS) prioritize the protection of authors' rights and the integrity of the scholarly work published. Copyright and intellectual property (IP) are essential elements of the academic publishing process, ensuring that the contributions of authors are properly acknowledged and legally secured.
The Qaiwan Journal of Science (QJS) follows the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 International (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0) license. This framework allows authors to retain full copyright of their work while granting users the right to download, print, share, archive, and reuse articles, provided proper credit is given to the authors and the journal. License and copyright details are clearly indicated on all published articles.
Intellectual property refers to creations of the mind, such as inventions, theories, algorithms, and data that are original to the author’s research. It is important that authors ensure their work does not infringe on the intellectual property rights of others. All sources, data, or ideas that are not the authors’ original work must be properly cited. Authors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest related to intellectual property, such as patents, trademarks, or financial interests tied to the research. This transparency helps maintain the integrity of the academic record and ensures that the review and publication process is fair and unbiased.
Permissions Policy
When authors use copyrighted materials—such as images, figures, tables, or excerpts from other works—they must secure permission from the copyright holders prior to submission. It is the responsibility of the authors to ensure that all required permissions are obtained.
